So much to say and so little time

Well I haven't written in awhile and I feel bad, but who is really reading this anyways? Oh well, it wont stop me from sharing.
From the start of buying product(s) to mailing, the process takes forever. It can be exhausting but its all worth it. This is how I do it. I post everything every Monday. That way Im not posting every day when I have other things I need to do as a mother. On Mondays I go check out Goodwill and maybe another day in the week but when I get home Monday I add whatever I buy to my inventory from the weekend and the previous week and I take almost all day from start to finish. What a hassle.....
I have posted a lo of stufft. I find things everywhere I go, if its garage sales or thrift stores. I don't think I have walked out with nothing. As of right now I have over a hundred things posted to my profile and I have about twenty more things to post tomorrow, without my weekly goodwill trip. LOL.
For awhile there I was on fire. I was selling things left and right, it felt like something every day. Its an awesome feeling. I might not be working an eight to five job and making good amount of money but with this and my sign business I feel like I am contributing. The truth is this money is for school. I don't want to touch it at all, and believe its hard for someone like me who LOVES her purses. I find so many cute ones that I want. Im actually hoping my husband took a hint and gets a purse that I like for my birthday. Well see.
But it feels good to make the money, Im not just sitting around the house doing nothing. Like I mentioned earlier its very time consuming but it keeps me busy. There have been plenty of times where I don't want to do anything and just sit there, but then I think, who knows someone might buy what I have to post, so I get busy.
So this past weekend I think I scored a great find. One of the local charter schools was having a rummage sale and they had tons of clothes, five dollars a bag to be specific. I didn't really want to deal with anymore clothes because they aren't selling for me, but when they are five dollars a bag and you get the biggest bag there, stuff as much as you can in the bag and when there are great labels you do it. I just kept finding things with great labels and I kept finding things my boys needed. All for five bucks, it was a score. I have found some other things in the past couple weeks that have been great finds and I hope they will sell.
I have got a little discouraged lately because my streak of selling slowed down but then I just sold something today and made my biggest profit yet.
So I just have to stick to it and keep buying and posting.

The past 24 hours

What a great couple of days. I couldn't have asked for a better haul.
Yesterday I got the best deals and I found a treasure that should make me a bit of money. The first thrift store I found a few things but wasn't charged for a wallet I found for five dollars. Its a no name but its vegan leather. So I bought a little Kate Spade wallet for twelve that I can hopefully charge more. I found some designer nice dress pants for two dollars a piece. That night we went to a Vintage, junk sale and this woman was there and had a TON of jewelry. On one of her sides of the booth everything was two dollars. She had lots of bracelets, and rings, and necklace pendants. I was looking thru a box of costume bracelets and I saw what looked like the Coach symbol. I picked it up and it was DEFINITLEY Coach. I couldn't believe it. I also found a couple Alex and Annie bracelets, so hopefully I can make a little bit of money selling all four. Last night was a huge success.
This morning we found a couple of garage sales and the two money maker items I found was a Michael Kors phone holder, brand new, for only three dollars and a Betsy Johnson purse for five dollars.
I found some other things that will definitely be posted.
Its been a couple of great days for buying and selling.

Lots to report

Hello to anyone and everyone that is reading this,
I haven't posted in awhile and I apologize and boy do I have some things to share. The last time I posted was after my garage sale Saturday adventures with ALL my treasures. It was a good day and I was able to post everything and its out there to sale. I stopped at Goodwill on Monday and found a Tommy Hilfiger satchel and a Roxy tote bag.
Tuesday I went on a impromptu trip with my mom down south. She had a meeting for work and I had an hour to go check out the local thrift stores. The first store I have gone to before and its where I found the Longchamp wallet, so I always have to stop. There purse and wallet section was pretty full, but nothing too extortionary. I found a cute Lesportsac crossbody. It was a little dirty but I was able to clean it and it looks great. The funny thing is at the store it looked blue but its actually black. I also found a blue Tommy Hilfiger crossbody and it has these cute patriotic stars on the front. Very cute and for the right occasion it would fit an ensemble perfectly.
Not a huge score but for ten bucks for both I'll take it.
Next I decided to go to another one down the street that I rarely go into. Its a pretty big store that holds a lot and after I tell you what I found, I will definitely be going back. Not only did I find a couple of good things the prices there are perfectly marked. The place is run by older ladies and what I have found out that when you have older ladies in thrift stores, they really aren't up on labels and what's trending and what's not. They had a few purses hanging up for a little higher price but those weren't worth it. I found their luggage selection, which was more like computer bags and used backpacks, but I did find a Tommy Bahama large tote bag for only four dollars. I found their wallets and purses and this one wallet stood out to me. I was looking thru it and the material inside looked familiar, I was thinking kate spade but I knew I've seen this before but I couldn't find the label. Right when I was about to put it back there was a label that read COACH. WHAT???? You know what the best thing about this was, well two things, it was super clean, one little ink mark but very clean, it was only a dollar fifty. So for two items under six dollars it was worth it and now you see why I want to go back.
Tomorrow we are going back south and I cant wait to see if I can find more.
Stay tuned

Today was a GREAT day....

I always start my Saturday mornings excited. I had about a dozen ones to go to, it was cool outside and I had my partner in crime with me(my mom). We always start with the ones around our homes(we only live two blocks from each other) and the first one always sets the mood.
The one thing I cant STAND about garage sales is disorganization. This first house looked like they set up some tables, threw their stuff out there and seemed like they where still setting up, plus a lot of stuff was wet, like they left it outside from the night before.
MOVE ON!!!...….
The next one wasn't in the greatest neighborhood but from a distant looked like good stuff, and I was right. I found a pink Michael Kors wallet for ten bucks and a pair of Converse Shoes for five that I can sell. I'm gonna keep the wallet for myself and sell the Michael Kors wristlet I am using now. This wallet is adorable. The shoes need some cleaning but very cute.
The next one was kind of like a rummage sale, it was in a business parking lot and they had some stuff. Of course I noticed the purses first and the only one I found worth something was a Tommy Hilfiger. Its blue, cute smaller bucket purse that's clean and that could possibly sell. I found some other things for myself.
The next one was at a Christin School that have had others before. They are kind of expensive and the women there are bitchy, but it doesn't stop us from going and seeing the new stuff. I had seen pictures prior to today and they had a lot of purses. I started looking and found an Urban Expressions metallic clutch/crossbody like purse for 5 bucks. I was searching the other ones and I saw this black one. Didn't think much of it and when I looked at the zipper pull it said Marc Jacobs....NO SHIT....it was a Marc by Marc Jacobs and it didn't have a price. I had to have it. How did I find another gem? I checked out there wallets and I found a cute leather smaller wallet in good condition and a Sak wallet, black and white, real cute and for both where five bucks. When I got to the front she only charged me three dollars for the Marc Jacobs. I spent a little more there than I wanted to, but what's the golden rule. You have to spend money to make money.
So total today I spent twenty bucks on all the items I am going to sell, not to shappy. If you count the wristlet that I bought a month ago at a garage sale I guess thirty five then. Still not too bad.
This is getting addicting and I love.
Just this morning I made my third sale from Poshmark and I cant wait to post the new things I found.

Another one bites the dust

All my new stuff I posted yesterday, this morning I received an email and I sold another item. YAY!!!!! All the way to New York.
This is working.
Tomorrow is Saturday and I have a handful of garage sales to go to, so cross your fingers and I find more stuff.
Stay tuned for my break down on all my deals.
Happy Garage Saleing….

I'm slowly making it work

I knew I wouldn't make hundreds overnight, there where things I needed to do, do be successful. One of the major things is building my inventory. If it's going to the thrift stores or garage sales(which Saturday is around the corner...yay) or actually been giving things, its definitely adding up. I try to post something every other day. I want to keep it fresh, interesting, keeping them wanting more.

My mom gave me a few items, that to the right buyer I think would go over well. I went thru my things again and was able to find some things I can part with. Yesterday the little one and I went to Goodwill just on a whim. Waiting for his brother to get out of school, so I had to rush a little. I found a really cute vintage authentic Disneyland purse. Its brown with three little patches on it. I also came across a Urban Expressions Vegan crossbody purse. Very cute and clean. I didn't see it till after I got back in the car but it had something sicky on the bottom cover, but I got home used my little cleaning technique and it came right out.

My inventory is adding up and I'm getting people responding so to me something is working.

My first sale and a recap of Saturday

Well I am on cloud nine tonight. I spent all day posting and recording all the items I got over the weekend and right after I was done, I sold a purse. I didn't make a big profit, but it was worth it. I gotta start somewhere right?

I need to recap you all on mu Saturday thrift store shopping spree. I didn't even step foot into a retail store. Getting down south we started out at the biggest store of the day. I had high expectations going in but I was let down. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up for the purses and wallets. I found a Victor Secret beach tote, a Pink Victoria Secret sweatshirt and of course a few things for me. But not a lot to sell. While we where there my aunt gave me a bag full of clothes, really good brands and a few items with the tags still on. So that was a hit.
We headed back home and stopped at another town we have never been to and found a really neat, cheap and a lot to look thru new thrift store. There I found a brand new Calvin Klein Sweater WITH the tags still on for five bucks. I found two sunglass cases, one SPY and the other Calvin Klein, both for a dollar. So not too bad.
The last stop of the day was at a thrift store we usually go to. It was kind of a last minute decision and I am so glad we went. I went straight to the wallets and purses and skimmed thru them. I found a Coach wallet but I don't think it was real because there was not stamp or label in the inside, so I left that. Then I came across an orange one. I thought it was nothing because it felt plastic but when I opened it up it said Longchamp.....NO SHIT!!! I was freaking out in the inside and it was only seven dollars. I was in heaven but I kept questioning if it was real but the more I examined and researched it was real. The best thing was it smelt like leather inside and the inside was so clean. I couldn't believe the haul I got that day. I was a little disappointed after the big store but finding that wallet made my day all worth it.
After getting back I had a great bundle to post.
This morning we made our way to Goodwill. When I say "we", my little four year old tags along with me every day all day. He's my thrift store partner in crime. I went to the purses and there where a lot to choose from but nothing worth it, but I did find a Sak purse, real clean. Went to the wallets and there too where a lot to choose from but nothing to buy, but I did find an Authentic Disney Park wallet, real cute. I started thinking about looking thru the clothes but if anyone goes to a thrift store you know there's soooooo much to look thru, so I thought maybe look at the mens. I've seen a lot of people post shirts that are vintage looking or old brand name or anything that looks cool. I found three really cool men's shirts and they where all half off. So for three shirts, a purse, a wallet and a toy for my son, it was under twenty bucks. Not to shabby.
So after making my first sale today it makes it worth it and all I want to do is keep shopping, posting and selling. Its a high and I don't want to come down from it. LOL

Im happy and I know it....

Well today is Friday and I'm not excited about garage sales, I'm excited because I'm going to the biggest thrift store, that I know of.
I'm jumping up and down in the inside. I'm also making it a day with my mom and without kids, which makes it so much better and exciting. I keep thinking that I'm gonna score big but I cant have big expectations, I'll find what I find. So my plan is, purses and wallets first, then the bags, I don't know why but I'm hoping to find a Longchamp purse, I doubt it but where this thrift store is, its a pretty richy town, so you don't know. Collect them all together and then go thru them one by one and put back what I don't want. After the bags, I want to go check out the baggies of stuff and then the clothes. I think instead of looking thru every piece of clothing just look for new tags. I think brand new stuff would sell great. I have to keep in mind and look thru all the sizes, they say having more than one size helps your sell more. Plus keep my eyes out for Victoria secret Pink, that always seems like a big seller.
Is it weird I plan out what I want to do and what I want to look for before I'm even there? I feel like I overthink this way too much, but if I want to make this a business for myself and a way of income then I have to make sure I look at everything and know what I need to get. What's cool too is my Aunt has a bag full of clothes, I heard brand new, for me to sell. That will be fun to look thru.
So stay tuned and I will update on what I buy.
Happy Thrifting tomorrow.

I really need this selling on Poshmark to work. I know I've said it over and over again, but I'm hoping that if I say it more and more than it will definitely work. I just need to stay positive with this whole thing instead of always second guessing it and then turning it negatively. I've always been one to stress over money. My husband and I live basically pay check to pay check, like most middle class families, which is what I consider us to, anywhere where I can contribute to makes me feel great. I have student loans that I don't expect my husband to help me with, its my responsibility and I'm doing anything I can think of to contribute to those payments.

I need more fatith......

I have talked so much trash about the thrift stores in my little town but I seem to find something worthy every time I go.
Today is Monday morning and everything I have read they say go to your thrift stores Mondays after garage sale weekend. After getting to Goodwill today I went straight for the purses(like always). They seemed to have more and different ones and I looked over every rack but couldn't find anything. I checked out the wallets and nothing. I thought to myself maybe I should check the purses one more time and right about the time I was gonna give up I saw a purse with a familiar looking tag. As I looked closer it was a Dooney & Bourke. A cute small O ring purse. It was clean inside and it definitely had the older looking vintage tag inside. I was so excited and I was positive they where gonna have a high price tag on it. It was only four ninety nine. YAY!!!! I was almost sure that I wasn't gonna find anything but boy did it. Two Dooney & Bourke purses seventy two hours, both purses under ten dollars and both vintage.

So what have I learned today? Have an open mind about any and all thrift stores. I think tomorrow I'm gonna drive up to the next town and check out their Goodwill.

This one is going on Poshmark.

I almost have three hundred followers and I have about thirty items and I want to keep adding more.

Great Finds.....

Today was a pretty good day for bargain shopping.
I've been putting together some inventory for selling on Poshmark and today I scored a few pieces of clothing but found two items at really great costs.
I found what looks like a vintage Dooney & Bourke handbag. Its totally cute, I have never seen anything like it before, very original and it only cost me two bucks. At the same garage sale I also found a pair of cowboy boots(which I have wanted a pair for myself) for only a dollar...I'm keeping those.
There where some other fun odds and ends but nothing I was going to resell, I kept everything else.
Last night I was looking thru Facebook and someone was selling a real cute, clean, and very fashionable Coach purse and it was only ten bucks. So I met up with her and it was mine. I couldn't believe how clean it was. The leather was flawless, no nicks, or scratches and super clean inside.
Two designer purses in one day for under fifteen bucks, not too shabby.
I have to say I have been scoring with purses at garage sales lately.
I don't know why but I just get so excited when I find something in value, especially a name brand item. When I saw that Dooney purse today and asked how much it was, I swear I thought she was gonna say like ten bucks(I probably still would have bought it) but when she said two dollars I had to control my excitement on the outside because I was jumping up and down in the inside.

After this morning I got busy taking pictures of all my items I was planning on selling and I just finished posting everything. I don't want to get overly confident on this selling stuff, but everything I read and hear it can be successful, so fingers crossed. There's a gal I sort of know that does it so I thought about getting in touch with her and asking her questions.

I just feel like I found something for me. For the longest time I have been looking for something for this stay at home mom and I truly think I found it. I was starting to loose faith and to be honest I started getting bored. A few years ago I got into a huge stage of depression and had really bad anxiety, I mean I hardly ever left the house. My husband was a saint and did everything. But with help I have started feeling like myself and doing this and my signs, I'm just a giddy school girl.

Now having a good inventory under my belt for reselling, I need to focus on my signs. I got craft fairs coming up and I just need to sit down and start making signs so I have a good amount of inventory for that as well.

I'm on cloud nine, I'm so happy with everything I'm doing and if you could see me now my smile is from ear to ear.

I got a garage sale tomorrow and if I find anything I'll be back.

Happy thrifting.....

To thrift or not to thrift???

That was the question this morning.
For the past couple of days I just wasn't feeling so well. My body hurt and the last thing I wanted to do was walk around a store. I couldn't concentrate. But this morning I woke up and I forced myself out of bed and out into the world.
I wasn't gonna stop by Goodwill but I thought what the hell. Once I was inside I made a B line to the purses which for our Goodwill there where a lot to look thru. There where a couple cute ones, I think a leather one(I couldn't find a tag) but nothing I don't think I could make money on. So I directed myself to the wallets. I usually never find anything worth buying but today I scored. I spotted a polka-dot, black and white wallet with this unusual name tag on the top. I picked it up and it said Marc by Marc Jacobs. NO WAY!!! It was marked for $3.99. Give it, it is a little dirty, but I think I can clean it up and sell it for twenty. Why not?
I looked thru the purses again and found this cute green messenger bag from Gap, very clean. I picked it up because it looks kind of vintage and its a crossbody and big. So well see.
I made my way to the clothes and I started think how do you start looking for clothes to sell. I figured I'm a large so look thru that and I would think larges are a more common size to sell. I found a Tommy Hilfiger pink shirt, clean.
So I scored a little haul today and I am happy with it.
I don't feel like I need to buy a lot right now(especially in the stores) but I should at least build up my inventory. Today is Wednesday so I have a few days till Saturday(garage sale) day and hopefully I can find more, for cheaper there. That's my goal. Find as much as a I can this weekend and build up my inventory that way.

On another subject, I'm praying this works and I can make a good amount of money with selling on Poshmark. Being a stay at home mom with school loans I need to find a way to make these payments. My sign business is ok but it doesn't cover my monthly payments. I'm not relying on this to make my millions but hopefully enough to make payments.

Happy Thrifting

The itch....

I get a rush when thinking about garage sales, thrift shopping and or anything to do with a bargain. Its not the kind of rush when you find something on sale at Macy's or Nordstrom's, its the rush of finding a Coach purse at a garage sale for three bucks, or a FREE Michael Kors purse on someone's driveway. Im definitely not your typical girl shopper. I don't buy expensive makeup, I usually buy wet n' wild, or elf, not MAC or anything expensive. I don't buy expensive clothing. The most I will ever spend on clothing is something at Ross. But, when the time is right I can find deals at garage sales for clothing, kids cloths, purses and anything else you would spend regular price for at any store.
Those are the highs I get when I am thrifting. Its the surprise of it all, the hunt, the unknowing. It just sends a rush over me that I cant explain. I know it sounds weird...….totally weird but I enjoy it.
When I was younger I loved garage sales but I always cared if someone I knew saw me, or knew that I wore thrift clothes instead of the latest designer jeans. It seems like now people like the vintage looks and the older clothes and where else can you find those at, besides at thrift stores. So I guess what I have been doing for a long time is now normal.

When I get this itch I just wished I lived in a bigger city. Like I have mentioned I live in a not so big town that doesn't have too many resources of thrifting items. I rely on garage sales more than anything but the season doesn't last too long. I have one Goodwill about three minutes away, a Hospice Thrift store that doesn't hold a lot of luxury items and that's about it. The biggest town is an hour away South and it has a lot, but driving an hour there, shopping for a few and then an hour back doesn't sound appealing. They aren't the greatest stores either but they're definitely better than here. The best place to go is where some of my family lives and there's a Savers there. But unfortunately that's two and half hours away. I don't go there very often but I would like to.
So for now I'm gonna press on with selling on Poshmark and selling anything I can find worth selling. That brings on the thrill, the HUNT. I never know what I will find.

Happy Thrifting

Garage Sales today.....kind of a dud today

Hello thrifters,
Well today was Saturday and my garage partner(my mom) and I had a list we thought would be great. But to be honest it wasn't, not like last week.
The deal of the day though was a woman's, light weight, black, Carhartt jacket for $5 dollars. They go for around $100. I've been looking for a light weight jacket that wasn't a hoodie, or a zip up sweater and I love this one.
I found a real cute plastic platter with blue fish on it from Pottery Barn, for only fifty cents. Its always nice to have platters around for parties or whatever and this is perfect.
I found a real leather off brand purse that's a crossbody and it holds a lot and that was two bucks.
So I didn't spend too much today which is always good and excited for what I found but there is always next week which I look forward to.

I started thinking after finding cheap, name brand purses and other things for so cheap, I want to re-sell this stuff. I tried here locally and it goes ok but I don't think I would get the best results if I where to sell everywhere. So I started looking around and looked at eBay and Amazon and those where just too complicated for what I need to do. Then I thought of Poshmark. I have bought a few things from the website and never had a problem.
I got into researching it and OMG, it is so easy and I started thinking I can really make some money from this. It all ties together things I like, from thrifting for the good stuff and then wanting to turn around and sell it. In one of my lasts posts, I found a Marc Jacobs purse at a garage sale for two bucks, well I started looking for what they go for on Poshmark. I saw some from between $160 to $50. I can totally do this!!!
Im gonna start collecting things around my house and start posting. I have name brand wallets, and jewelry and clothes I can sell and make money. Cause God knows I need to be bringing in some money for my family.

My husband works full time and does everything to support myself and our three boys and I love him for it. We make it work. We live paycheck to paycheck but we make it work. But for my sake I want to do this, I want to be bringing money in. Its a self respect thing. I have a small business making custom wood signs and I love that as well. I love being creative and working with my hands and this business is perfect for me, I just want more. I have orders pretty steadily but its not like I make a fortune. I would love to expand this more and that's what I am trying to figure out. So if I do something like reselling on Poshmark I think I can contribute more.

Stay tuned....

Almost Saturday

Today is Friday and tomorrow is Garage Sale day.
Right now I don't see too many out there but in my little town people always seem to wait till the last minute to post things, or drive around looking for posters.
I was thinking about driving down a little south to the bigger cities around us but I don't know if I want to drive make another drive since we drove last weekend.
So stay tuned I will give you a whole run down of what I find.
Happy Thrifting

$$$ Store

Today I took a box of clothes to Goodwill and I had to go inside and look. The one thing about thrift shipping and garage saleing you just don't know what you're going to find. Well today wasn't great. The purses there are always so cheap and sometimes just gross. Stains or broken handles or rips. Not for me.
I never really look thru the clothes unless I'm on a mission for something particular. I like looking thru the figurines and little house hold stuff just for something different. I have found a particular pottery at my store that is pretty well known in my town and that's always cool. But usually its just junk.
There has only been a few times where I scored on something big and or had a big haul.
On the other side of thrift shopping and garage saleing I love shopping for a bargain. I don't like going to stores and spending a fortune for a shirt when I could go to Ross and spend way less for everything.
But the one store that I love to shop at just because of the prices and you can find name brand stuff there, is Dollar Tree. I love the Dollar Tree. You can buy most things there and I love buying stuff there that is disposable like party supplies. You can get plates, napkins, silver wear, banners, party favors for around twenty dollars. If you where to go somewhere else you probably would spend double that. I get toothpaste there, kids snacks, cake mixes, puppy snacks and so much more. The biggest thing I like there is that I can get a lot of craft supplies there. Not tons but there are things I spend a couple bucks for instead of spending way more.
Its only Tuesday, still awhile till the weekend.

I'm Back.......

Its been awhile since I last "Blogged" and I thought I would be back with a new idea.
Since I last wrote my life has been pretty boring. Two of the three boys are back in school, I still have my sign business(that I love), my husband works full-time and goes hunting on the weekend, we hardly see each other anymore and my oldest wants to join the Marines(So Proud). See nothing too exciting, I don't know how to make my life as a stay at home mom interesting. Plus I see so many things on Facebook about moms raising boys and what I read, that's my my life. What's new to report??
So I started thinking of something new, something I could share my finds, or thoughts, or whatever and one thing came to mind that I LOVE to do, is garage saleing.
I love a good bargain. I love getting things for cheap instead of paying full cost in the store, I love finding name brand things cheap, I love the thrill of the find. I love to thrift.
Garage Sales every weekend with my mom is the highlight of my week but during the week its thrift stores anywhere I can find one. Saturday mornings are my favorite though. I wake up around eight, get ready like normal with the kids and I get to my mom's house around nine and then we start the sales. We usually go to as much as we can and for the past couple years we get picky. We know this town pretty well, we know where the good houses are or the NOT so good houses are. Depending on where we are we drive, we check it out with a drive by and we either stay or go. Sometimes we find the best and sometimes its a wash. Just this past weekend we started Saturday thrifting in the town south of us and I found a Coach four sided picture frame for five dollars. So cute and when I got home I looked it up and they go for over fifty dollars. SCORE!!!!
Sunday there where a few around town and we stopped at one in a pretty good area, that we actually visited before and I found a coach purse last time. This time I came across this vintage, brown, old looking bag and after I picked it up I looked inside and it was a Michael Kors. NO WAY!!!! I made sure the little serial number was in there and sure enough it was. I later went back and bought a Marc Jacobs red purse because at the time it didn't register to me the name. I bought those two purses for four dollars. The red one I looked up later and they where going for a hundred dollars on eBay. NO SHIT!!!!! I was in heaven. I decided to keep the brown Michael Kors because I had to clean it up and its a little worn. I just love the look because it looks real vintage.
But that's the stuff I look for. Our Goodwill and thrift stores around where I live aren't so great. I find things from time to time but never where I'm blown away. Garage Sales seem to be a little better then the stores.
Now the Garage Sale season is dwindling down so I will have to rely on the stores. But one thing I've been thinking about is selling the things I find worth selling on eBay or Amazon or Poshmark. Im just scared to do so. I don't want to screw up on something. I mean I try to sell my stuff around my town and some other towns but I don't feel like I am very successful with it. I'm going to do some research and maybe start it soon.
There is one thing that I really want to try but again my small town doesn't help, I want to dumpster dive. I watch these videos all the time and the stuff they find, I cant believe people throw away. I don't really have the area around here to do this because everyone knows everyone, so in a way its kind of embarrassing. So I have to pick my areas carefully.
So its only Monday and it sucks I have to wait five days till Saturday, the cool thing is there is supposed to be this big church sale somewhere south of me so we might go there. The garage sales get better and better the closer to the big city we get. I wont see garage sales posted around my area until about Thursday or Friday or even Saturday. So now I just save my money, don't spend so much this week so I have money this Saturday.
Thrift to you tomorrow.

4 kids including my husband

Does anyone else just hate, I mean cant stand, despise, would rather go to the dentist then clean your house, especially if you have kids?
I love clean houses, newly moped floors, the smell of bathroom cleaner down the hall, a clean sink with no dishes, a carpet I can see.....but with four boys it never stays clean.
Its really hard to keep up housework at times, just because every time I clean something, another part of the house is trashed. I spent a good two hours the other day cleaning out my young two's bedroom. I mean throwing broken toys away, chucking misplaced train tracks in the bag, picking up empty cups of juice and when I was done it sparkled. Its amazing now being a mom, what really tickles your fancy, like a clean kids room, you know what I mean. Before kids, I got a high when I bought a new purse, made me smile ear to ear. But its not that way anymore, kind of depressing and the saddest part about their room, at the end of the day it was messy all over again.
Ok, Ok, they are young and maybe don't get it, but I think they're old enough to pick up their mess, they made it, NOT me. I cant tell you how many times I really deep cleaned their room and found socks and underwear in places where they shouldn't be. I'm trying to get thru to them when you have dirty clothes put them in the hamper not in your toy box.
Deep down I start to think after the damage(literally) is done, it boils down to its an age thing....maybe? Give them time, they'll learn but having a teenager in the house as well, his room is more of a disaster then the young ones room.
Ok, maybe its a young teenage boy, boys will be boys thing. Boys are messy, they stink, don't really pay attention to hygiene but then I look at my husband,he is the same way as all the others. I clean up after him all the time. I would think after 10 years he would get the picture of after using a towel, hang it back up. He's seen me do it thousands of times but almost about 97% of the time, I find them on the floor. I really don't know what he did before I came along. LOL.
Any young boys reading this, you would be saints to your mother if you picked up after your self, out of everything you can do for her. Keep your shit in order and make sure you pick up your towels.

My introduction

I've wanted to start a blog for awhile now but didn't really know what to write about. I researched and researched and it boiled down to what I'm "passionate about."
I love many things. I like to cook, but I just follow receipts, nothing special, I'm no Marth Stewart. I like to read but I never seem to have the time to finish it. The one thing I love is crafting, its my passion. I have a little side job where I make custom signs, but its not a full time job, like being a mom.
My two boys are my main passion and they have been for the past 6 years.
I'll give you a little brief description of them. They are both red heads, does that explain it all? My oldest is almost 7, about to start second grade and thinks he's a lot older than he is. My youngest is almost 4, this will probably be the last year he'll be with me before he goes off to school(I don't want to talk about it) and he is a total mimic of his older brother. They are the loves of my life but they drive me up the wall and back down it every single day.
Being a stay at home gives me chance to bond with my boys, go out on adventures, do crafts, cook with them, but seriously moms, who does that? Now I don't want to offend anyone who does take the time for these things and believe me I would love to do all those things every day but when my morning starts I am exhausted from the beginning and from the previous day. They wear me out!!!
From sun up it automatically starts with screaming at each other, its crying because the other one hit the other one, its begging for food, and that's all before noon. Sure, when its not hot outside we venture out. We go on walks, I take them to the park, go shopping(that's another crazy mess) whatever I can think of to keep them busy. But, once we get home its nap time, my favorite. Its my time for quite time...….but no one stays quite, no one stays in bed and I might get some quite time for the length of a movie, if I'm lucky.
Life as a stay at home mom isn't all bad, we do have our good days and I cherish them always. I think about when I wont have either one here and it makes me very sad. On one hand, my babies are growing up too fast and time is just flying by, but on the other hand thinking of the day when I have seven hours to myself, it doesn't sound too bad.
